In the second class, “Hear What Your Body is Telling You,” you’ll discover your own body’s built-in system for helping you to de-stress and handle upsets before taking action. 4. “Locate the Real You - Global Listening”
In class 4, you’ll learn how to access a state called global listening, in which your body is relaxed, while at the same time your mind is alert and receptive to nuances that might otherwise escape you. You may already be good at this when it comes to your patient care; you get the sense to go check on a patient at the exact moment you need to, you catch the exact clue to keep something from going south or you have specific equipment or a plan for something that has not even happened yet. You have probably thought to yourself, “I am not sure why I did that or how I knew, but I am glad that I did!” You will learn how to enhance this skill in you, to help YOU, not just your patients or your kids.
